i dream of Sydney with the light brown hair
EEEEEE!!! Alias! Another great episode. Totally up there with A Missing Link for the cream of this season's crop.
-Man, that dream was pretty wonky. And, you know, FUCKING GROSS. Dude, don't stick your fingers INTO the gaping wound!! And the tube, and the blood, and... ew. EW. Poor Syd when she woke up, though. If only Vaughn had been there to comfort her. *sniff*
-Hey, look. It's Mexico. Again. AY, DIOS MIO.
-Wheeee, Jack/Vaughn scenes! "I think i know my wife better than you do." "I would hope so." HEE!! Jack, i love you.
-Syd and Sloane! On a mission! Together! Dude, that's so fucked up! I love it. So snark-tastic, and a tad bit squicky. Hee. I kind of like seeing them work together like that, even if it is filled with thinly-veiled hatred. And, well, Sloane is just getting a kick out of it. The slap was priceless. Also, Ron Rifkin is my hero.
-Woot! Sunglasses!Vaughn! I AM SO SEXY IT IS BLINDING AND I MUST WEAR SHADES TO PROTECT MYSELF. FROM THE SEXY.
-The sword-fighting kicked ass. That was pretty damn slick. I wish her face hadn't been covered up, cause i wonder if it was JG most of the time or not. I would think it was, what with all her training from Daredevil.
-EEEE!!! Jack/Vaughn smackdown! BOOYAH!! Vaughn kicked ass, and Jack kicked his ass right back. That's what i like about them. Shoving! DUDE! YES! It's bad that i like to see them yelling and fighting this much, isn't it? I know Jack had to have been pissed at him, but i can't help but think he was more than a little understanding with the whole "compromising your morals" situation. Like "Heh, so NOW pussy-boy gets it."
-A Sark/Lauren scene! Finally. He smirked at her! I think he likes her. Hee. NOW SHOOT HER! Oh. Damn. I didn't mean that, I SWEAR. Oh, he rigged her car to explode! BLOW HER UP! Uhm... i didn't mean that either. Really, i like her. I do. She's pretty. I just wish she were cooler. And not married to Vaughn. Ugh, circumstance. Oh, and Sark? Looked DAMN sexy as he was leaving the garage. AHHH. I do wish we could have seen him finding out Syd killed his dad, because last week he was all gung-ho about it, and then this week he just magically knows already. Some Sark development would be nice. Bah.
-Uh oh! Vaughn and Lauren! Trouble in paradise! Heh. Heh heh. "Do you still love her?" Heyyy, now you're gettin somewhere, Laur. It's a good thing Vaughn's so practiced at avoiding the issues. Dude, i LOVE when he figured out she reported Syd, and he just RAN AWAY. Lauren's all "Michael!" and he's all *sprinting in the opposite direction! ignoring my wife completely!* Hee hee. Hee. That's good stuff. This marriage needs to end already. YEESH.
-EEEEEEE!!!! EEEEEEE!! EEEEE!!! THE SCENE! THAT ONE SCENE! THE GOOD SCENE THAT MAKES ME HAPPY!! Okay, obviously i already knew about the whole "I'm not gonna lose you twice" thing, but it was still soooo good. With all the excitement i had been hearing, i even guessed there might be a hug (and the irrational part of me thought "kiss?? HMMM???" heh.) And they DID hug! That was great! Oh, and, theyalmostkissedtoo. YEAH. WHUUUHHH??? JESUS GOD. They were sooo gonna kiss. I mean, you do not stay THAT close together, leaning, with your eyes closed, if you're NOT gonna kiss. Oh, except apparently Syd and Vaughn do. BASTARDS. I'm kind of glad they didn't, just because it's a little too soon and adulterous and all that (argh). But then i also kind of wanted to reach through the screen and smoosh their faces together. Uhm. Yeah. I was really nearly convinced it was going to happen, cause that closeness went on for WAY too long, and i started to get all panicky because it would have been insane... but then they didn't. Really, it's pretty damn hard for me to believe-- or, you know, REMEMBER-- that Vaughn is married when he still has that much chemistry and UST with Syd. CHRIST. THIS SHOW IS GOING TO KILL ME.
-Vaughn lying to Dixon and Jack totally knowing what was up was AWESOME. "What do you have in mind?" Awww yeeeeea, that's what i'm talkin 'bout. As much as i love it when Jack and Vaughn fight, i love it when they work together too, possibly even more (because we know they don't get along, and yet they respect each other enough to work toward common goals for Sydney. AWWW.) Plus, Bristows have a knack for bringing out the "screw protocol" side of Vaughn, which rocks. Basically, i love Jack and Vaughn. They have such an awesome relationship. So many layers! Like an onion! I'm sooo looking forward to seeing where this goes. Oh, and also, simply because i have to point out prettiness at every turn, especially when it's slapping me across the face: HOO BOY. His eyes are so greeeeen.
-Oh SHEET! Dixon's being demoted! That sucks. But hey, maybe there'll be less of big-bad-boss-man Dixon, and more of cool-buddy Dixon. So maybe i'm fine with this. The NSC is eeeeevil.
-Julia's apartment! That's pretty crazy. The whole reveal with the key, and Irina's code, and the fact that it was sent to Sloane is quite confusing. I wanna know how they're all connected to the missing two years. And, like, if Syd sent the key to Sloane and it was for Sydney, did Julia send it and know who Sydney was, or did Sydney send it? Was Syd herself for some of the two years? I guess... AGH. CONFUSING. I don't even know how to ask questions about it. I guess i assumed Syd was Julia for the duration of her time gone, but if she sent herself something in code she learned from Irina (even though present-time Syd didn't recognize it), she may not have been. Or something. The way it was written "For Sydney" makes me think Julia knew about Syd, or about BEING Syd, and knew she would turn back into her. Maybe she knew about Syd the same way Syd knows about Julia.
Dude, this ep kicked. Jack is BACK! Woot! And there was overt S/V looooooooove! Hee hee hee. But not enough Weiss. Argh. And it went by WAY too fast. I mean, even moreso than normal. And considering we have to wait TWO WEEKS for the next one, that's just not cool. I'm sooo looking forward to everybody trying to bust out Syd (Q&A! rawk.), and the end of this one was so reminiscent of Mea Culpa (SO CLOSE to being the same episode of the season, too... that was episode 9, this was episode 7. Damn. But yeah, i find it ironic that back then her life was in danger from SD-6, but this time the threat is from her own government. It leads me to wonder about Sloane and how he was betrayed by the CIA, which i still wanna know about... iiiinteresting.) This episode actually corresponds with The Counteragent (episode 7), which also had a sad/frustrating Syd/Vaughn hug while Vaughn's attached to someone else. Hmm. So many parallels.
Oh also, something crazy that has been stuck in my head since yesterday that doesn't have anything to do with insight, i just need to get it out: of course the "some things change, some things don't" line reminds me of The Matrix (dammit, i hate that line, too. LET'S REPEAT IT TWENTY MORE TIMES), but the whole "I'm not gonna lose you twice" completely makes me think of The Little Mermaid. When Eric is all "I lost her once, i'm not gonna lose her again!" Man, that line always got to me. Sigh. And it got me thinking, like, hey The Little Mermaid has a sham marriage too! And King Triton is really protective, like Jack! And "Kiss the Girl" could sooo be applied to S/V! And, oh, by the way, i'm on THE CRACK. I find it quite amusing, is all. My Little Mermaid obsession was prepping me for my Alias obsession at a very early age! Like Project Christmas, but with 'shipping instead of guns! Erm. YEAH. Anywaaaay... I'm tired. It kind of makes me say things i should probably keep to myself.
