i thought that i was better off, i was wrong
!!!! Paid account!!! amezri is FAR too good to me, and got me another two months, and a beautiful, anonymous lj-fairy got me another SIX (6! S-I-X!!) months! Dudes. DUDES. I don't deserve it! Money! Spent on ME! That's insane! But i am immensely grateful. The looooove! :D *hugs and kisses and flowers and puppies* So! Much! Generosity!!

And ooohhhhh boooooy, here we go. Alias rambling! Including far too many capital letters and exclamation points! Wahoooo!

OHMYGOD NEW ALIAS!!!! The half hour before it started, i was literally just chanting "ohmygod ohmygod ohmygod". Uhm. Yes. And then as it started, that became "HOLY FUCKING SHIT". It is SO. WEIRD. to see the stuff after the last scene of The Telling. Because, like, we've had four MONTHS for that shit to sink in! And now, oh hey, here's what happens next! GAAH.

-Okay, Vaughn sitting in the burned-down apartment? Yeah, that was fucking SAD. Just... I ached for the kid. And GAH! He's a teeeeeeacher! (because of Syd? hmm... if it is, that's kind of interesting, because Syd wanted to be a teacher like her dead mom, who wasn't really dead... and it's interesting.) I SO called that he left the CIA though. I win!

-Dude! Dixon got promoted! He's the fucking BOSS now! Okay, that's weird. (oh, and i do believe you'll find me saying "that's weird" about, uh, pretty much everything. BECAUSE IT'S ALL WEIRD.) And WEEEEEEEIIIIISSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!! When he walked into the hospital room all grinning at Syd? CUTEST THING EVER. SO SO CUTE. OHMYGOD CUTE. Weiss, i love you. And he slept by her bed!! And... and... Eric+Sydney4EVA!! Uhm... wait. But... they're so kyooooot. Hee.

-MARSHALL!! MARSHALL AND CARRIE!!! MARSHALL IS GONNA BE A DAD!! OMG BEST THING EVER!!!! Their little banter about Carrie not wanting to get married and DUDE, they. are. so. cute. Heeeeee!! I am so proud of Marshall, and... GOD THEY'RE CUTE. And of course, introducing himself, and the poem! I love Marshall oh SO much. It's a good thing we have this cuteness, you know, to counteract the HORRIBLE HORRIBLE PAIN of Syd/Vaughn.

-Oh god, okay. I wept from the very moment we saw Jack, to alllll the way through the commercial break afterward. That was the saddest scene ever. He called her "sweetheart". He worked with Irina to find her (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!). He... he... looked so old. And so HAPPY to see Syd. They said "I love you" to each other!! It's odd, but that seemed like the absolute most intimate we've ever seen Syd and Jack. And they were on opposite sides of a glass wall. And dear LORD, "Michael Vaughn is just a boy who was never good enough for you." I. love. that. Because you know? That's what parents say to their kids in a breakup. "Oh honey, he wasn't good enough for you." It was SUCH a father/daughter scene. Yep, i wept like a complete baby.

-Uhm, i didn't completely understand all the mission stuff. I really wasn't paying a hell of a lot of attention, because i was too caught up in the details of everything that's different. But Syd and Weiss! Yay! I was also starting to wonder where Vaughn was at this point, and then i remembered that he doesn't work for the CIA anymore. Heh.

-Fuck. Sloane is a good guy? BWAAAAAH! That was weird. The Telling said "peace"??? So Rambaldi was basically a hippie. "Come on guys, give peace a chance!" Man, i hope that's not the end of Rambaldi. We've spent too long on it for "oh, it just said 'peace'" to be it. I mean, really. I want more payoff than that, dammit. Plus, i kept thinking the Telling was why Syd ended up two years in the future. Hmm. Anyway, it was actually oddly comforting to see Sloane again. Just in that "yep, he's still creepy" kind of way. Seriously, talking about that father/daughter stuff with Syd - ewwww. Not sure if i buy that he's reformed or not. Hm. Ponderous.

-ARGH!! Limp Bizkit?? Oh Alias, what happened to the good music? I'm so disappointed. That disguise stuff could have been cool, but... Limp Bizkit. When i hear Limp Bizkit, not only do i think "ugh, CRAP", but also, Fred Durst. I hate that fuckhead. Argh! Man, that sucked.

-Uh... Syd? Why'd you need a disguise just to go blow up a car? Erm... okay.

-Heh, her thing with the blowtorch and the chip was pretty cool. Dixon was totally smirking. That rocked. Dixon's the BOSS!! Still weird. He should be a nice boss, though, right? Cause he's DIXON! Syd hasn't had any nice bosses before.

-Ohh nooooooooooo. The last scene with Syd and Vaughn. *smacks head* D'oh! I don't think Syd's particularly happy with Vaughn at the moment. Have you noticed that? And... and... ouch. It was paaaaainful. I mean, Syd was justified with a lot of what she said, but she was also really harsh... i still wanted to remind her of Danny. Of course, if Vaughn had thrown that in her face, she would definitely hate him, but still. It's not exactly the same situation, but it's SO CLOSE! Syd crying over Danny's dead body, Vaughn crying over Syd's dead body... then again, Vaughn only had the DNA evidence, and if he really cared, maybe he would have refused to believe it like Jack... but Syd was DEAD! Was Syd supposed to wait for Danny?? agh. I could go around in circles forever. I JUST DON'T KNOW. This is not a point i can argue, because i honestly don't think either of them is completely right or wrong. They're just in a really shitty situation. Sigh. Circumstance. She's a bitch.

-Jack and Syd!! Gah, they're practically lovey-dovey now. Hee. ;) So sweeeeet. It's just weird to see them so close, as opposed to s1.

-Dammit i wanna know what the hell happened to Syd. Oh, you know, just went around killing people while she was asleep. Wheeee, good times. I WANT ANSWERS NOOOOW! I'm just too damn impatient for this.

So. Yeah. That was weird. I suppose it was a pretty good ep, but... i don't know. I'm just so not adjusted to any of this (which is the point, i know). Some of it also comes from the season premiere weirdness, because The Enemy Walks In didn't feel quite right to me either at the time.

Now, erm. WILL??!??!? SARK?? IRINA?!? What happened to them, HMMMM?? I'm especially worried about Will, because, dude. He managed to survive a severe stabbing and a FIRE... please GOD don't tell me he's horribly disfigured. Pleeeeeeease? Pretty please let him be okay? Meep.

DUDE! Preeeeeeeview!! MRS. VAAAAAAUGHN!!! Hee. All that stuff for a bunch of the eps coming up was craaaazy, but dude. Syd and Lauren (it's SO hard for me to use her name) in a car together, eeeeee! Yayhooray! I seriously am so looking forward to them working together, you have no idea. I dunno, it must be because she's another girl, that's all i can figure. And Marshall in disguise, yaaay! And... and... i don't even remember all the other stuff, but this shit is gonna be WHACK. And i'm still worried about my Syd and Vaughn, cause i'm a dork. It's just SAD. :( They've never had this intense, long-term, gut-wrenching, ihateyouohgodi'mgoingtodie kind of angst before (except in wonderful, wonderful fanfic), so this is gonna be rough. And i'm EXCITED ABOUT IT. In a depressed sort of way.

Also, i miss Kendall. Also, i miss season 1. Remember that? When things were kind of normal? Yeah. Good times.

I. can't. believe. it's. a. new. season. GAAAAAH THISISSOWEIRD!!

Random addendum: I'm wondering... where is Syd going to live now? She could live with Jack (and bonus! we'd finally get to see where he lives!), except, he's been in jail for a year, so he probably doesn't have a home anymore either. So they could get a place together! And it'll be like The Odd Couple. Wacky hijinks ensue. Or she could be Weiss's roomie (heee!), or find Will and live with him (barring anything really horrible having happened to him), or move in with Marshall and Carrie and babysit when the babygeek is born (HEE!), or live with Vaughn and the wife, which wouldn't be awkward at ALL. And of course, all of these scenarios would involve wacky hijinks. Or, they won't address this at all, and i just enjoy pondering really trivial and inconsequential details. Yay!
